Many communities work hard at keeping their residents and attracting more, while others have difficulty with both of those tasks. Factors including jobs, housing, transportation, culture, and crime all play roles in what makes some communities thrive and others fail. Communities are finding themselves in the midst of a societal shift with our more mobile society, the advent of the tech job boom, and a new social consciousness about cleaner, greener living, giving people more freedom to make more choices about where and how they choose to live.
