World in America

This week on World in America, we'll visit the Jamaican-Americans. One million strong, Jamaican Americans have given this country many well known authors and musicians. This week, we'll take a peek into their lives, challenges, and they contribute to life here in America. We'll meet the "Jamaican Huxtables," the Laing family. Later, at the Uptown Manhattan Mo Bay Restaurant we'll taste hearty ackee and saltfish and the quintessential Jamaican meal, the esciovitch fish. Finally, we'll attend the annual Flag Raising Ceremonies organized by Jon-Jay, Jamaica Organization of New Jersey.
