In the first installment of “Ayna’s”journey to the South Pacific country of Papua New Guinea, Saim spends time with many of the people that call this island nation home. From the daughter of the chief of one of the countless tribes that make up the country’s population, to the children that live in stilt houses in villages in the capital city of New Moresby, Saim shows us the faces and lets us hear the voices that comprise the human aspect of the land. This multi-cultural country is rich in natural resources including gold, silver, natural gas, oil and lumber. Fishing is also a way of life in a country surrounded by ocean, and Saim introduces us to many of the people that build their lives around what the landand sea have to offer. For a glimpse of a simpler yet fulfilling life, join the “Ayna” crew this week as they travel to Papua New Guinea.
