Saim remains in Tanzania this week tolearn more about what makes this African country so unique. In addition to being home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, and Serengeti National Park, an ancient and lush nature reserve, Tanzania is known for its many tribes and natural resources.Saim meets with members of various tribes that make up the country’spopulation and he samples some of their staple foods such as cassava root and Ugali. He tours a cashew processing plant, where the pricey nut is shelled one at a time, by hand, for the equivalent of minimum wage. He watches local fishermen in action and listens to a band made up of wind instruments and the voices of young men and boys singinga bout peace.
