Ayna 78- Spain
Saim explores a country rich in history, culture and natural beauty this week as he takes us to Spain. The adventure begins in Pamplona, the city famous for its annual festival of San Fermin and the Running of the Bulls. Malaga, the birthplace of artist Pablo Picasso and actor Antonio Banderas, and the Straits of Gibraltar, with a view of Tangiers across the water, are next on the itinerary. Cordoba, a fascinating city that was well ahead of its time in ancient days, was once the cultural, scientific and philosophic hub of Europe. Evidence of its impressive history still exists everywhere throughout the streets and winding walkways. The magnificent Mezquita, or “Great Mosque” is one of many examples. In Granada, Saim tours the Alhambra with its breathtaking architecture and tile mosaic walls and ceilings. Guadrix, located among the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, is known for its cave dwellings once used by Muslims escaping persecution. Don’t miss an unforgettable journey, this week, when “Ayna” takes us to Spain!
