Ayna 47- Czech Republic
Saim explores the history and beauty of Prague on this week’s trip to the Czech Republic. The gorgeous architecture and countless historical landmarks account for Prague’s ranking of fourth most popular European city behind Paris, London, and Rome. In Staromestske Namesti, or “Old Town Square,” the churches, cafes, restaurants, and clock tower that offers visitors a surprise when it strikes each hour, are only some of the attractions that make this square the one most frequented by tourists. The Charles Bridge, only available to pedestrians, offers scenic views of the city and the boats sailing on the Vltava River below. Prague’s claim to fame, however, is the Prague Castle complex, which houses the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, viewing towers, museums and art galleries. The Changing of the Presidential Armed Guard takes place daily on the grounds. Franz Kafka’s house is nearby as well as dozens of quaint shops and places to sit and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful city. Come along and explore Prague this week when “Ayna” visits the Czech Republic!
