At the holy site of Pashupatinath Temple he learns how the bodies of deceased Hindus are prepared forcremation, their ashes then scattered on the Bagmati River so that they may continue on their journey. Finally, he meets a group of Sadhus – wandering holy men who devote their lives to worshipping their chosen deity and who deny themselves most earthly belongings.
