Ayna 35- Nepal

Join Saim as he heads to Southern Asiato visit Nepal. While exploring the capital city of Kathmandu, he spends time in Durbar Square whose many palaces and Hindu temples date back for centuries. In one of the many markets he demonstrates the soothing sounds of a Buddhist meditation bowl and notes the free-ranging sacred cows that are granted the same rights as the people that walk among them. At the holy site of Pashupatinath Temple he learns how the bodies of deceased Hindus are prepared forcremation, their ashes then scattered on the Bagmati River so that they may continue on their journey. Finally, he meets a group of Sadhus – wandering holy men who devote their lives to worshipping their chosen deity and who deny themselves most earthly belongings.
