INGREDIENTS
2 pounds of sliced potatoes
2 tablespoons grams of butter
¼ pounds of grated gruyere cheese
2 glasses of milk
1 egg
1 glove of garlic
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel and slice the potatoes. Warm the milk.
Rub an oven proof dish with the garlic glove and with butter. Add the slice potatoes and half of the cheese.
Pour ¾ of the warm milk on the potatoes. Cook for 50 minutes.
Mix 2 or 3 times the potatoes with 2 forks so they cook evenly.
10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, beat the egg, salt and pepper and the rest of the milk. Pour over the potatoes. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese and a bit of butter. Lower the oven to 350 while baking for 10 minutes.
