In this episode, A Taste from the Melting Pot samples the magic of Iranian cuisine! First up, Mehin Khatamee takes us to the kitchen and shows us how to make “khoresht-e badenjan,” a savory lamb eggplant stew. Mehin will also share a recipe for a versatile yogurt with beets dish, called Mast O Labou. To further our appreciation of Iranian culture, we take a tour of her lovely home filled with a classic Persian artwork including watercolors and rugs. Then, it's off to the dining room to enjoy an extraordinary feast as friends and relatives arrive bearing saffron chicken, basmati rice and “ash-e joe,” a wonderful lentil soup.
