Our host Mara travels to the home of Florence Troutman and discovers an array of exciting ingredients, signature herbs and spices, palm oil, and a variety of hot peppers.  Our meal includes Amala, made from powdered yams, a rich and thick Egusi soup, plus the classic Jollof Rice with plantains.  A professional singer, Florence also shares her love of traditional Nigerian music.
