A father turns his back on God after learning that his leukemia-stricken son has not responded to treatment and is going to die. With a pile of debt accrued from so many medical bills and no hope in his heart, he frantically makes a series of poor choices, including distancing himself from his wife and son. As the child’s greatest wish is to become a fireman, Salih, a recent hire at the local fire station, takes him under his wing, showing him the ropes and making him an honorary firefighter.  As the little boy enjoys his final days living out his dream, his father struggles, on his own, to come to terms with his grief.
