Direct and coordinate the development of various types of lifestyle programming in a family oriented TV channel placing specific emphasis on diversity and multiculturalism. Program topics include multiculturalism, diversity, ethnic/race relations, etc... Supervise and confirm program content and ensure sensitivity to diversity and multiculturalism. Train staff writers, associate producers and producers to increase sensitivity about diversity and racial/ethnic/gender representations. Review program proposals and determine specific and general subject material for development. Conduct meetings with associate producers to discuss production progress and to ensure production objectives are attained. Monitor production processes to ensure accurate completion of details. Assign writers to write program material.
