Helicops
Karl "Charly" von Schumann
This good-looking, powerfully-built daredevil now pilots the high-speed AK1 helicopter. He was born in the former East Germany and there made it to the rank of major in the air force. Later, he worked as a test pilot for the West German airline industry and was one of the West German Air Force's leading air safety officers in Lower Saxony. What's more, he has several times become world champion in helicopter stunt flying. But after a child was killed at one of his air shows, he gave it all up and moved out into the country. The only thing that could get him back behind the controls of a helicopter is a beautiful woman like...

Jenny Harland
is a police detective who is as stylish and striking as she is athletic and sensitive to the feelings of others. Her male colleagues often try to pamper and protect her, but this just makes her more obstinate and willing to take risks. Jenny's boss, Hagen Dahlberg practically gets a heart attack every time she goes off on a dangerous mission by herself, but he also has to admit that she has a unique talent for always being in the just the right place at the right time. Whereas Jenny almost feels like Dahlberg's daughter, her feelings for Charly are of a very different and rather disturbing kind. But since her fiancé was recently killed on a mission, Charly doesn't try to push her too fast and gives her time to get used to him. And this just makes him even more attractive in her eyes.

Hagen Dahlberg
is the helicopter squad's chief officer. He has the rank of detective superintendent and is well-known for his incisive analytical abilities. Even in the most critical situations he always manages to remain cool and calm. The only exception to this is when Jenny is in danger. Then he sometimes gets carried away and does things he hasn't really thought through. He's the only one of his team to be married and always has guilt feelings about spending so little time with his two children.

Stephan Rubelli
is the navigator on board the AK1 and has little time for Charly's daredevil stunts in the air. But he's a genius when dealing with computers and puts his talents to good use---often enough saving Charly's neck. He'll have to drink a lot of "magic aiming drops" , though, before he gets really accurate on the helicopter's impulse cannon. Missing by an inch is as bad as missing by a yard.

Dr. Jokostra
is the woman who actually invented the AK1 and is constantly coming up with new technical gimmicks to improve it's performance. She's a sort of female "Q". She dresses rather severely to make herself look more serious and scientific but (and this is the sort of thing that makes her so likeable) there's always a wayward strand of hair that she can't seem to keep under control.

Thorwald
is the team's mechanic and, like Dr. Jokostra, he is always looking for new ways to improve the AK1 technically. Although the relationship with his girl friend didn't last, he does have a bright eight-year-old son. But the boy lives in Munich with his mother and he can only visit Thorwald during the holidays.

ART of Marbling

Hatip
One of the most unique and beautiful forms of art is Ebru, or water marbling. Ebru is formed by drawing designs with dye on top of water, and then carefully placing paper on the surface of the water in order to absorb the dye. more
